The aim of Wittenberge Europan 2013 compe-tition was to relink a part of Elbe river biosphere with the city of Wittenberge. The site overlooks the river with a longitudinal development and hosts historic buildings and an industrial complex previously used as warehouses and grain silos. The project consist of a large park in which we worked both on openspace and built space. The park is composed by a tree forest and wider spaces for temporary activities. Inside the park we work on the renovation of existing buildings and the construction of new buildings, starting from the respect of the place, the dialogue with the existing, the enhancement of urban landscape and limiting the soil consumption.
